LUANN is about the trials of becoming a young adult: the hilarity and drama, triumphs and flops, friendships and rivalries. Rich in character and intriguing "what'll happen next?!" stories, LUANN is a compelling saga of life's most volatile stage. Greg Evans was voted Outstanding Cartoonist of the Year in 2003 by the National Cartoonists Society.

You got him. You’re good, Luann. Now try doing this to get Quill hooked.

Not 10 out of 10? I’m shocked!

Not that way.

Let’s see, if Luann goes to a school for theatre when she’s eighteen, assume a three year course, when she’s done she’ll be twenty-one. Ah, I think that’s still pretty young. Not dead. Time enough to try any number of other things if it doesn’t work out, time enough to cut a spot in one of the many performing arts groups that exist nationally and in many communities. Honorable careers that aren’t necessarily in the ‘Star’ category. Time enough to get an education degree after and TEACH those things. Get serious, Frank…. not everyone is destined to sit on his butt, drink coffee & read newspapers for the rest of eternity, like you are. If you can’t encourage Luann, Frank, at least kindly get the hell out of the way.

Game point to Luann…..I’m in middle schools and high schools a lot. Most girls can do that with just a look and a roll of the eyes……..

When your child has taken acting lessons, you never know what’s the real story anymore…

Worst case scenario she ends up being the director of the local community club in drama and ends up trying to find roles for herself, only to end up with less desirable roles. Casting professional here please……
Also whats ox doing?

ENFPs like Luann are considerably overrepresented in psychodrama. In fact they’re considerably overrepresented at every level of the film and theater industries.

@JimT8
I said “doing it” meaning applying her outstanding acting skills to hook Quill, not necessarily the wailing act she used on her dad.

@. .
Very well put.
BTW, what exactly does Frank do?

@flyingairman
My eight year old is already a drama queen. Was since about five. So, that’s 1 out of 1, or 100% in our house.

Hopefully, my comment’s not too ‘over the top’ for Admin today.
