Okay, it took some time but I’m signed up. I like seeing Quill and Luann interacting in this story arc. Will be interesting to see how things go. Toni continues to be kind of a mystery, with bits of her story/background being filled in over a long period of time, it seems.

Heh, Jonah looks like a young Jedi in the 1st Panel. A young Obi Wan Kenobi, if you will. I wonder if Luann and Quill will run into Gunther with Rosa in the theater?

Toni’s introduction could’ve been for the benefit of Luann and Quill. Brad’s unsurprised response indicates that he’s quite familiar w/ Jonah and his flakiness.

Glad to see soooo many familiar faces here!I like Luann, I like Brad, I like Tony, not so fond of Quill, but I’ll survive him being there. Shannon makes me laugh.

Typically, the most drama is outside the theatre, lol! So this is Shannon’s dad, this explains a lot. Know she got his drama, hope she got her aunts common sense…

The costume fits the play. He may not yet have makeup on.

I like Quill, especially since he likes Luann, which really “sticks in Tiffany’s craw”! LOL!

I wouldn’t be surprised if he just dropped Shannon off at Toni’s place, like he usually does…

Strange that we never got to find out why Dirk wears the ski cap and sunglasses at all hours.

Will Brad ever get real hair, or just stubble?

I didn’t like the way Brad interacted with Dirk the last time they were together. Brad has come a long way with his maturity but he was the jerk and Dirk took the high road in their final meeting…quite the reversal of roles for those two.

Jonah is late for a date with a Whale. That’s pretty hard to swallow.

What reservations does Toni still have about marrying Brad? It seems he’s addressed every concern she’s ever mentioned, and she’s fallen in love with him and become physically attracted to him as well (one episode even suggested they’d…). It seemed as if she finally removed Dirk from her life, and made peace with Brad’s mom, so what’s holding her back?

The next key thing will be to see if Jonah has a major role in the Play, or is only a flunky. Each could lead to interesting further story lines, but differing ones. Also will he make a pass at Luann? He has a reputation. Might Luann get a summer job as an extra, in the chorus??

I really hate the song I Enjoy Being a Girl. I was there during the sixties when women were analysing every aspect of our culture and pointing out sexism. In this case it’s clear; nobody ever wrote a song called I Enjoy Being a Boy. No one had to. Boys already knew which sex was on top of the heap.I Enjoy Being a Girl, to my mind, is part of the massive con job that men did (and are still doing, by & large) on women. And also refusing to call them women. Remember when whites referred to blacks as “boys”? Most people nowadays can see why that was considered offensive. How many people can see “girls” for adult women as offensive??

@Raul Ybarra Thanks for an explanation. I have already read some comments that are borderline. Geez, this is a nice strip basically about teenagers, for the most part. It’s cute, it’s funny, at times very realistic if you know teens, and, Oh never mind Raul, I think you know what I am trying to say here. And maybe I should rethink Brooke’s decision as I truly didn’t know all the details. Perhaps it wasn’t his ego so much as nasty minded posters.

Wouldn’t it be nice if Gunther had a Brad-like transformation and Luann fell in love with him? He’s always been the nicest guy she knows. But like Toni’s former attitude towards Brad, Luann currently only views Gunther as a friend. What ever happened to the short rich Elvis guy? When are Delta and Bernice ever going to have stories or boyfriends? We should have seen one of them go on a double date with Luann and Quill by now.

I’m pretty sure that’s nothing like what Toni’s brother looked like or dressed like the first time around.
