    The anachronism of this comic is funnier than the punch line.

    @Taigan

    And some of the anachronisms in today’s strip (and in particular, “Magnum”) are a welcome respite, compared to much of today’s “TV”….

    I’ll take

    At least you don’t need to make time to go on Facebook, Tumblr and watch Teen Wolf.

    No, just the 1980’s when this originally ran. (Note the date.)

    So we see Luann spends time on what she likes. Her parents get angry when her report card comes in.

    Crossover starting on “Murder She Wrote” that went to “Simon & Simon” and ended on “Magnum P.I.” Those were the days!!!

    Wow. Brings back memories of TV before it became (in michael medved’s words) a “race to the bottom.”
    .
    Wonder why hollywood doesn’t get a clue: three years back to back of 9 of 10 movies losing money and less than 20% of the population going to a movie in a given year should have been a clue.
    .
    It wasn’t supposed to be funny, but a funny article mentioned that the kardashian’s program had 9 million viewers, as if that was something to be proud of. With 300 million + 60 million mexican nationals living in the U.S., that is 0.15% of potential viewers.
    .
    Remember when 15 or 20% of the population would watch a program in the 1980s? If I was hollywood, I’d be wondering why no one watches even the “most popular” shows.
    .
    Last year someone actually said that hollywood gives people what they want… Snort… If so, why is no one watching?

    I listen to Michael Medved for his comedic value. And the other side of the fence.
