    I wish more did.
    .
    of he and I
    of he? No, of him
    of I? No, of me
    Therefore, of him and me
    or is it therefor?
well at least the spelling isn’t spoken
    .
Anyhoo, supposedly educated people on TV use the subjective form of the pronoun rather than the proper objective form. They even “correct” those who do it correctly.
This means even the script writers don’t know no gooderer.
    .
This is bound to lead to the breakdown of Western sevelezashun starteng wid mi.

Reminds me of when I was in the 4th grade. The teacher never called on you if you raised your hand, only on those who didn’t raise their hands. It was frustrating because I usually knew the answer so I had my hand raised and she’d call on someone (usually a boy) who didn’t have his hand raised and he’d sit there hemming and hawing. I wish teachers would realize this humiliating tactic does not result in the kid studying more. It only causes resentment for both those who do know the answers and those who don’t!

Once you raise your hand and answer enough questions correctly the teach concentrates on those who don’t answer correctly.

Now what is she going to say? This never works. Teachers can read your mind, the good ones that is.

    @Macushlalondra

The idea was to engage the student so all would actively be trying to learn and keep up.
    .
Part of that was shame for not knowing.
    .
I would look confused to get the teacher to call me or look knowing to get her to NOT call me to answer.
    .
(It helped me learn human nature.)
