I’m surprised this strip became so popular if it started this boring.

Awww, c’ mon! Don’t you remember the week draaagging and waiting hopelessly for the freedom of the weekend, only to have NO CLUE as to what to do with TWO WHOLE DAYS?? (Or, worse yet, have rotten weather keep you from being able to do anything outside the house!)

It was the ’80’s. Can’t go to the mall until 10:00, computers weren’t in everybody’s house, no cell phones. Simpler times man.

Same here Omnius…… I’m old enough to remember being outside playing with all the neighborhood kids until it got dark, unless there was a special kids show on TV, then ALL the neighborhood kids came over to watch it because we had one of the first TV’s on the block. Those were the days :-)

It’s still boring if you ask me.

    Look elsewhere for chase scenes.
That has never been the purpose of the strip.

I remember those days. It’s good to be bored from time to time. That’s when you’re the most creative.

I was like this as a kid during summers, before I was old enough to get more work.

How did you spend the 1980’s? At least I had books to read and to draw.

TV? When I was a kid, there was no TV yet. We’d be outside playing and on Sundays we’d sit around the radio listening to radio shows like Jack Benny & Name That Tune, etc.
