    Actually, idolization isn’t healthy for either side. It tends to set impossible standards and expectations… the taller the pedestal, the greater the flaws hidden by distance.

    I dont think in a relationship literally people idolize one another …it is written as an expression of having strong feelings and commitment for the other. I have found myself saying many times - He idolizes her- just because the person has little cute details and considers his wife.
