The way I sees it, the more bloodshed there is on both sides, the more bodies for us to loot afterward. So, it’s to our personal benefits for this to be a MAJOR bloodshed… Put out a notice for volunteers wanted. Make all the typical appeals to honor and glory, and the humiliation of the other side. You know the routine. “Retrieve the child, death to the kidnappers!” “Capture the child, death to the evil lord!” That kind of thing. We may have to open a new bank account if this works right.

I would not want to face this character in real life under any circumstances. At least Trullus leaves people breathing.

I’d like to see Blyme’s hat knocked off. Like Beetle Bailey, I wonder if there’s anything under there!

And not only that, but with just the teensiest bit o’ luck, there will be time for knife-play later on, as well. Something to look forward to… We’d best get to honin’ then.

It’s nice to see Blyme smiling. And/or salivating over the prospects of future knife-play…. He has a bloody fine imagination!

I love how you can almost see the wheels turning here. Though Blyme had made clear to Trullus that they’re not having anything to do with it — no way, no day — at the same time they’re still thinking about what they could get out of the impending drama (and no doubt farce) without being directly involved. Even though Blyme is rightly leery of tangling with an Orck, I think that, as in the confrontation with Derring-Do Dan, he can’t resist the challenge. And while Blyme could never compete with Malgorth in terms of sheer brute strength, he would more than make up for it in cunning.

This is going to be very interesting, however it plays out.

In the meantime, sounds as if Blyme and his comrades are about to settle in with their own popcorn wagon and bar.
