    Did Lucius really talk like that? Are we sure it isn’t the nekkid one (only not nekkid right now) again?

    Lucius is no worse than Rufus. In fact, Rufus is worse. Both of them were concerned only about getting their relative out first (Twila for Rufus, Regina for Lucius), but Rufus only went back for Biff; Lucius is going back for whoever he can carry. I do wish Rufus could have stayed on-mission…

    (Actually, I’m lying. Lucius is only going back to kill Flimm and/or Slynderfell.)

    I am not ready to underestimate Lucius. We do not know if the child he carried out is his child, though for his sake I hope so. Nor do we know the limits of giving which may be achieved near the end of a nearly heartbreaking quest.

    I just want to think that Lucius already got his daughter out safely and he’s going back to bravely save the others, as for Biff, I really hope he’s okay though.

    Biff may be Flimm’s new host

    This rescue mission is really being run inefficiently (did you see what I did there?). Maybe Lucius Yellowjacket can slow down just enough to corral a burden gastropod or two and bring out a bunch of victims all together, rather than only one or two at a time….
    But we are well on the way to the Final Battle now!
    …………………………………………
    Free the Taken (now being accomplished, in painfully slow increments). Destroy Flimm.

    Rufus has really slimmed down throughout this adventure. All that running and such. It could be a new weight loss program, “Beat the Takers”

    I don’t blame them for getting their loved ones first. I takes courage, too, to leave them and go running back into the cave.

    @Sisyphos

    Burden gastropods don’t do stairs.

    Here’s a thought. A bit further on, Rufus runs into ANOTHER Lucius!!!

    Lucius is o.k….if I remember correctly, he’s been looking for her daughter for eight years. That’ll make a person a bit crusty.

    So, once all is said and done, will Snotty Edward Downey turn over a new leaf, and stop being a bully like his big brother? I doubt it, but I guess we’ll see.

    Weight loss reality TV show… it would have everything: weight loss, drama, stolen loved ones – and, for the naughty bits – Slyndie and Oggalulu…

    Are Lucius and Rufus really so ‘bad’ because they are most immediately concerned about Regina and Twila (and Biff), respectively? I don’t think so. If you knew that a relative or other individual to whom you had a personal connection were in danger, you would think of them first, right? It’s a very natural reaction, though it doesn’t automatically follow that people will disregard strangers in distress. Quite the contrary, many times. If anything, I feel tempted to fault those upstairs for not helping out, except that I would wager most aren’t even aware of what’s happening downstairs, with so much (literally) going to blazes. Kleguelo is not to be trusted any farther than you can throw the bathtub, and not even that; Kreelit and Oggalulu are probably too busy trying to cope with the mishegas around them; and Slynderfell may still be too out of it to realize what’s happening at all.
