I have learned that, even though you can analyse something and come up with a rational explanation, it does not mean it is the right explanation. What Flimm says may have the sound of being right, but that does not make it right. The things of the heart, of the spirit, of the soul, cannot be comprehended by logic, reason, and science.

OK, your turn Rufus, Biff just saved you, now you must save him.
Right now you 2 are all you have.

Selfish or selfless, matters not one bit. Biff’s here, isn’t he?!

So devilish, so seductive, so logical, so insightful, so frightening—and so wrong.
Rather than over-analyzing your motivations, insecurities, and real human flaws, lads, just get on with the task at hand. Free the Taken. Destroy Flimm.

Step up, Rufus, and help Biff restore his faith in himself…I’m betting the blade has no effect when the holder wields it with self-doubt.

I suspect Rufus might say something like:

You fancy yourself, like Lucifer Morning Star, above all others. But, like us, you are a fallen being. Unlike us, you may not advance; we at least can draw from the primal source and grow, while you cannot. You must draw sustenance by consuming others because you are cut off from the primal source. You are a threat to all unsuspecting, vibrant life that is vulnerable to lost innocence but has the opportunity to gain wisdom and salvation. You shall not prevail.

…thoughts are not deeds, Flimm…..Biff can think whatever he wants, but the fact remains, he’s here now, and in your face….. and if he was a little older, he’d recognize that you are just tossing out as many ideas as YOU can think of until you find one that makes Biff react…..fortunately, even if Biff has suddenly been struck with doubt, Rufus will have no qualms – he’s not being mind-***ed at the moment, so he can see what you’re up to…it’s not as easy, Flimm, when there are two of them to deal with…

Mine don’t, but you can always mute the TV.

Biff, ask yourself rather why Mr. Flimm wants to keep talking, rather than do something more direct. There is something he is still afraid of, some factor out of his control.

Yup… Biff’s eyes are showing a definite port-and-starboard, while Rufus’ eyes seem normal.

So… on Monday morning? Are we going to cut back to some other characters somewhere else – or are we going to hear more of this foolish Flimmflammery?
