“Stay young and at peace, free from the burdens…” Flimm’s offer sounds a lot like Death.

Flimm: “The fish you struggle two hours to pull into the boat always tastes better than the one that leaps into your lap. Lets see how you react when I set the hook.”

Flimm has the slick spiel of a drug pusher or pimp. And though the ultimate price may be high, thank goodness Biff had the strength to resist the siren’s song. Now Flimm will be forced to show himself more as he really is, all oily and slick and Evil….

At last—we hear Flimm’s true voice. And maybe find out what happens to the Taken? I’m on the edge of my chair…

It sounds like the Bogey, realizing his charm offensive isn’t working on Biff and Rufus, is beginning to show his true colours.

Uh, oh… cold, cruel and sneering. And it’s going to get worse, for sure.

Yay, Biff! : D Way to go, dude! (Life lesson learned: the sweller something sounds, the bigger the catch is…)

Awesome artwork, as always, Kory! Those colors! I’m feeling the warmth and charm oozing… their withdrawal, and the advance of the chill.

Flimm is the essence of demonic seduction. Demons are parasites. That’s how they survive, since they are cut off from the primal source.

The aloysium blade is a key to that source, and Rufus is about to discover how to use it. Once Rufus makes that discovery, he will be connected, and the blade will become unnecessary for him. That process is what Flimm is frightened of.

Margo underwent something similar when she was pitched into the lake to meet the challenge of the Leviathan.

…ah ha, Flimm suddenly seemed a lot less cavalier about that blade, pulling away like that…

Have you noticed how the boys each have one green and one red pupil while they are floating — just like a certain ice cream impresario that I could name? And then the eyes return to normal after they touch ground.

Ooh, psychedelic. Well, it’s good that they ran into l’omino. Biff, smart little soul that he is, learned from the experience, that good-sounding things come with a catch.
