Is it my imagination, or is the space in the tunnel and its two occupants somewhat heart-shaped?

Whatever, the last scene feels like a consecration to me.

Healing, growth, strength. All of which means power to overcome Flimm.

Rufus: “Anyway, you know what to do. I’ve got to go check my email and then do laundry. Catch up to ya later!”
Biff: “Yeah, see you when this is done. Wait. What?”

I dub thee Sir Biff! —No; that’s a different ritual.
(Take 2) I pass to thee with this crinkly aylosium sword the title, Champion of the Good Guys! —Hmm. No.
(Take 3) Here, you take the sword; and stand in front….
    Next (?): Facing Flimm!

I have a feeling that this was a Momentous Decision, only Neither Realized It At The Time.
Some amazing work in shading—I love the shift from a cool blue to a more friendly purple (or is that just my interpretation?).

    I think you nailed it.

In the top illustration, right above Rufus’ head, there is a jaw (or a claw) looking ready to bite (or grab). Such a chilly, foreboding blue, and so many rough rock edges surrounding them, it hurts to look at it. And both boys look extremely fearful and uneasy. (Just how I feel…)

But in the bottom illustration, the color warms a bit; and Kory’s used the cave edges more as a framing device, and the whole thing seems just a tiny bit softer. I really love the little smile on Rufus’ face…

Ending the week on a hopeful note. Right before the exciting pandemêlée to come? Have good weekends, everyone!

I can quite believe it was a Momentous Decision, but I’m not so sure towards which outcome it helped.

For a moment there, I was afraid they were going to fumble around and drop the sword.
Glad they didn’t. Don’t want that hanging on me for the weekend.
See yall Monday, fellow Flimm fighters.
