The vines cannot touch you, for they have Flimm’s fear.

I hope this isn’t a set-up. I want to trust Kreelit. I just don’t want to believe the harsh truth he has spoken, if such it is….
For better or for worse, run, Rufus, run!

I trust Kreelit, he doesn’t seem to be like the others, maybe he was at one time but then started to realize that Flimm and Slynderfell were the bad guys or so, but that’s just my humble opinion so I could be wrong.

    …kind of a Harry Potter-esk thing.

Either theothers took longer time in factory than it seemes, or Rufus walked with “Twila” for shorter time than it seemed. Looks like he will be just in time to get the sword from Biff – a relay indeed.

Well, I got chills reading that. From Rufus’ hearing the news and his steeling his spine.

Chills, indeed! I was holding out hope for Chupa, and I’m still not entirely convinced she’s gone, even though that seems to be the only path that makes sense within the narrative. And I love the broken up giant gastropod shell (or is it a cornucopia—a symbol of bountiful corruption?).

Me too! It’s utterly fabulous! I love the illusion that they walked out from it (Kreelit looks to be standing in the ‘doorway’) but that would be impossible. Great mind-teaser. Tons of great detail again, too.

Erm… “Flimm’s Garden?” Go Rufe, Go!

When this story is over, I hope it is reprinted as a graphic novel. Perfect Christmas gift.

That reminds me of when some readers had expressed doubts about other characters earlier in the story: Margo, Lucius, Jerry, and Dr. Periwether. And Lucius had been suspicious of Goatsucker. But then he didn’t really know her as Margo, Biff, and Rufus did. Just goes to show how difficult it can be to trust someone, because it so often is a risky proposition, particularly in situations of great peril. Certainly it would be foolish to trust blindly. On the other hand, there is also a risk in distrusting blindly, because it could mean forfeiting help that you might have otherwise received.
