The ice cream bucket says: ‘All Work and No Play makes Jack a Dull Flavor’, a wonderful tip to Stanley Kubrick, Steven King and Jack Nicholson!

FYI, “All work and no play makes Jack a dull flavor.”
Leeshkin imagines he is sending Team Good Guys into the everlasting clutches of Flimm the Taker. I suspect he will be sore disappointed….

i think Rufus being delayed is going to be a good thing. Nothing like having unexpected help show up when you aren’t expecting it.

I’m nervous… hiding behind my chair now… It’s not going to be that easy, Lucius – remember the Witch! Don’t get cocky, kid!

@jeffc42 – totally right! : ) Unexpected, abrupt, and hopefully unforeseen. (If Flimm’s busy with Lucius, Margo, and Biff, perhaps he won’t be watching for Rufus…)

It may be the opposite. I think, as far as Flimm is concerned, Rufus may be the most dangerous one of all, hence the Twila diversion.

Of course unexpected help comes when you aren’t expecting it. If you were expecting the help, then it wouldn’t be unexpected, now, would it?

Lucius: “Where you been, Rufe? We had our back up against the wall, Flimm’d been whupping on us for hours, and we’d been expectin’ ya to come in an’ pull our bacon outa the fire! Now, you finally pick your time to waltz in, and we been dead for 4 hours. How’s that make you feel?”

Kinda surprised he admitted the penal colony bit. But then, maybe he figured there was no use denying it.

I’m getting claustrophobic wandering and hearing of all these dark, creepy things. I do wish he would finish this story up and start a new one that is not so stiffiling.
