Lucius would have noticed and pulled her dentures on her.

Racing to the rescue, like only a terrified chihuahua can.

How many tunes can the Piper juggle at once?

A small assortment of astonishingly loud brass instruments raced each other lustily to the respective ends of their distinct musical choices as the gates flew open to release a torrent of tawny fur comprised of angry yapping bullets that nipped at Desdemona’s ankles, causing her to reflect once again (as blood filled her sneakers and she fought her way through the panicking crowd) that the annual Running of the Pomeranians in Liechtenstein was a stupid idea. — Sera Kirk, Vancouver, BC (2001 Bulwer-Lytton Grand Prize Winner)

Used to have a dog that would run like that. He could really move when he got going.

It’s one tune, or perhaps one tune per species, that triggers a reaction in all that hear it, which manifests itself as that person’s dearest musical memory. Which means, if he is playing for Goatsucker, then the spell on Margo, Lucius and the rats may have broken. Rat and human might react together, but how would they rect to musicc meant for Goatsucker?

Goatsucker is, indeed, a chupacabra [as her name indicates], let us recall. She is capable of inflicting much mortal damage. The pied piper may soon be playing another tune…. It may not be pretty.

Ah, just spotted it. Goatsucker is immune because she has no happy memories.

    So sad—no happy memories…

    But good for our heroes.

Have I mentioned that I love this artistic motif, too? This whole series has been a great chance for Kory to show off his range and depth as an artist, and boy, does he deliver…

I work with the son of R2D2 (well, the actor). Any relation?
