    Can someone explain the science of this joke to me, since I’m neither a mosquito nor a boozer.

    @LittleYipScream

    When a mosquito bites, it injects a bit of anti-coagulant saliva to keep the blood going, easier to consume.

    Though only the females drink blood.

    SimpsonFan…. yeah…. thanks… actually I knew that….
    but beer doesn’t coagulate …
    and he’s not drinking it out of a person….
    so I still don’t get it.

    Who or what is he injecting with anti-coagulant?

    Say… Dave?

    The goal of a chugging battle is speed, not volume. Because of his ability to inject anti-coagulant, the fluid is able to flow more quickly, and so he consumes the mug of beer more quickly. You are right, though. Because beer doesn’t coagulate, injecting an anti-coagulant will not actually lower the viscosity.

    Isn’t anybody concerned about the size of the skeeter?

    Nah, looks pretty normal for around here.

    Could be (bee?), but injecting a liquid into the beer might dilute it, making it easier to quaff.

    Don’t worry about it, it’s not you, it actually doesn’t make sense.

    All part of my ongoing effort to get Loose Parts Amber Ale actually made.

    I think this all has to do with the density of the Amber Ale with it ’s caramel character.

    And all the guys routinely make Amber Ale when they…..well, you know.

  14. Igo

    @SusanSunshine

    He’s injecting the anti-coagulant into his opponent to keep the alcohol flowing through the blood-stream and get the opponent drunk faster.
