wow. when i see a cartoon that i’ve seen a million times before as a cartoon reader, i can’t help wonder how it is that a cartoonist hasn’t seen a repeated cartoon over and over. And as such, why do they just keep re-doing a cartoon?
Hmm, if this comic is a repeat, then why do the previous comments sound like they are from people seeing it for the first time? A joke isn’t old until you’ve heard it.
Maybe I’m just an old broad, but the homework being eaten by the dog cartoon joke goes back to caveman first doing it on cave walls. Can’t a cartoon person do it in a DIFFERENT way at least?
I have seen this idea approached different and it’s funny then. I just think looking at the same exact cartoon done by a thousand different cartoonists shows a lack of creativity
A wacky one-panel for the more erudite reader, Loose Parts combines literary references with bad puns and brings together everything from nursery rhymes to '60s elevator music.

I can not longer remember what grade it was or whether the teacher believed it, but I can personally testify that our dog Smokey once ate my homework.

there are plenty of 10 year olds that have never seen a cartoon like this before and that is the reason why it is ok to recycle old jokes.

If jokes were never recycled the only new ones would be about current events and then they wouldn’t make sense to a lot of people years later.

Like trying to get back into Bloom County. An election comment from 20 years ago just doesn’t make any sense anymore.
