This kind of pessimistic skepticism and perpetual uncertainty comes to us via Scottish philosopher Dave Hume. I’m not sure his goal was to cast doubt on all human knowledge and accomplishment, but that was the effect, perpetuated by generations of mediocre philosophy professors. Stick with Aristotle and his optimistic certainty. The person who says you can’t be sure of anything can’t even be certain of his skepticism, so there’s no obligation to pay any attention to him.
