Considering the low approval ratings of Congress no matter who is in charge, it’s rather obvious that the voice of the people is completely muffled, while whispers, nods and winks from lobbyists or the wealthy propel Congress into producing legislation. It seems that this would be a good time for a new party or parties to emerge that work for the people, but while the time is right the two “opposing” parties have embedded themselves deeply into the political infrastructure in most states making it an onerous task for any newcomer to have a voice.
