    Maybe if we starting hitting ISIS months ago(as people who have a clue about foreign policy were asking for), we wouldn’t be in this mess.
    So was Barry golfing or fundraising?

    Mr. Obama’s policy toward Iraq has me mystified. Denying or limiting military support for Iraq while various ethnic and religious groups are being exterminated seems extremely counterproductive in the long term. The Iraqi’s may do what we want this time, but I’m sure Mr. Obama’s policy this time will be remembered.

    The way we got into the first two wars was by supporting one faction over another. We need a policy that supports a free democratic government and minimizes the corruption of the people in charge. You can’t do a deal with the devil without getting burned. We need a careful, selective response not another trillion dollar war.

    An American journalist loses his head and the PM of the U.K. cancels his vacation and gets to work against islamists. …. Not our leader.

    The Secretary of State in 1992 said that Saddam should not be removed from power in Iraq because he predicted this type of a conflict between religious factions in Iraq.

    Why did Cheney change his mind and promote the war in Iraq? Amazing how PROFIT (Halliburton) can motivate some sick people.

    Mass genocide of the Kurds probably had nothing to do with it.

    You have a selective memory, the list of those that called Sadam a serious threat includes Bill & Hillary, John Edwards, Lurch (I mean John Kerry), Just to name a few of the prominent ones. If we had waited like all of you Bush bashers wanted to, we would have to deal with a nuclear Iraq with more and better weapons. Like Iran and North Korea. Smart!

    @pda726

    Nope – that isn’t true. Iraq was not developing nuclear weapons. Iran and North Korea started focusing MORE on building nuclear weapons once Bush called them the Axis of Evil.
    -
    Saddam was a thorn in Iran’s side.

    Like I said, selective memory. It was the nineties, Clinton Administration. Bill Clinton, Hillary, John Kerry, John Edwards and others that were saying it!

    One consolation, if Obozo is still Pres. when ISIL gets over here, he will be one of the first ones to be beheaded! That I would not mind!
