Jerry is a typical Limousine Liberal who just wants to spend yard working taxpayers money to fund his own government boondoggles like the $80 Billion choo-choo train.

Everyone knows the Republican party is the party of the poor. Poor in spirit and challenged of mentality.

As the droughts and fire continue, the state that provides so much food to the USA and the world is watching farmers go out of business. Ms. Benson and California’s governor should be focusing on ways to get the public behind desalination projects to pump much needed water from the Pacific to the farms, ranches, and communities that are slowly dying of thirst. Continually taking water from other states’ rivers and aquifers is not a long term solution and simply spreads the damage beyond CA’s borders.

Anyone who blames one party or the other for poverty, doesn’t understand what it’s like to be impoverished or its causes.

Yea .With those $40,000 a plate for one and $64,000 for a couple, fund raisers the Democrats throw for Obama across town from where I live.
I’m sure that the poor are donating about 2 years worth of their government benefits to Obama so that they can attend one of these dinners.
How much did billionare ,hedge fund manager,Tom Styer, pay the DNC to talk about global warming last spring?
    Oh yea,yea.It was $100,000,000.

The Republican party is pro-abortion. Why else would they be opposed to covering contraception in insurance policies? California is doing much better on teen pregnancies than any red state.

It was obvious to me 35 years ago that there were many things that should be done by the CA State government. It was also obvious they weren’t likely to do anything useful in the long run. I moved to another State where the Big Sugar Daddy did not hold sway.

Astonishing how the sheep baa in chorus. Umm hmm, and of course it was all Democrats who sued in Citizens United – OH, no it wasn’t. It was Democrats who perverted the IRS rules to change social works organizations into “hide the soft money” political organizations – Oh, no, that was Republicans who made SURE the IRS would never take up the job of cleaning that cesspool again, and damn the laws. You can’t make meaningful comparisons of spending when one side goes to enormous lengths to hide everything. So bite me.

It’s just the sheep, baaing in chorus. They repeat these fictions Limbaugh and Beck and Fox and NewsMax and the Moonie Times dream up, making excuses for things they KNOW would turn the neocon stomach. It’s the new Aryan speak, the identical “new reality” that was promised in the 30’s in Europe, the same thing that was created by Napeoleon, the same drivel over and over again of how “us” is better than “them”. As long as “us” is better in THEIR MINDS, they are AOK.

They best not pay a real visit (not a ten minute stopover) to Japan or Germany or a dozen other countries I can think of, that bubble gets popped quickly. It’s rather eyeopening to have Japanese or Germans feeling sorry for you having to return to the US, where the politics are so rancid and the rights of a citizen are so circumscribed.
