Step Three: Reframe the issue so that it’s the fault of Obama, Obamacare, or the Democrats in general.

Actually, the Republicans sent six (6) budget bills to the Senate and Harry Reid refused to even bring them up for discussion,. It is he who obstructs. But, being the leftie that you are, you are not interested in reality. The Utopian world that you want will never exist.

Excuse me TTM? Who is taking away “…everything possible…” from those “…who have the least…?”
I mean I don’t see Republicans, or Democrats, confiscating the poor’s property, taxing them onerously (most pay little no income tax for example), or pulling the clothes off their back to take things to an extreme.
Or, are you making that claim about government handouts and welfare programs that confiscate the wealth of those with more and give it away without expectation of return on investment to those with less?
If it is the latter, then I say Meh. Too bad for “the poor.” Stupid and lazy on your part is no excuse for me to provide for you on my part. To quote Judge Smeals from Caddyshack “The world needs ditch diggers too!”
Now, TTM, before you and the other Progressives start telling me I’m heartless I want you to know I have the heart of a small child!
I keep it in a box on my dresser at home… ;)

For which we can thank the Democrats. Thank you Democrats for screwing up the federal budget so thoroughly!

So, TTM, you DO mean government programs that redistribute wealth for the most part.
Food stamps is not an industry subsidy. It is a government welfare program. It takes tax monies and redistributes those monies in a different form of money (food stamps) to people in the form of a handout. I think it is an extreme stretch that it subsidizes the agriculture sector of the economy as I doubt that people receiving that hand out would otherwise just stop eating.
It is also not a work incentive simply because as your income rises your food stamp subsidy decreases and then disappears. It is actually, like virtually all welfare programs, a disincentive to work.
We could have a seperate debate on direct farm subsidies and other government programs with farming. I for one would like to see the ethanol subsidy end entirely. It is simply stupid to be using energy to produce less energy at a higher cost while simultaneously driving the price of food up.
But, the bottom line to your response is that you indeed had government subsidies and handouts in mind when you made your orginial post. Ican accept some small degree of government handouts to the poor but I would attach some return on that investment on their part to getting it. That is, something like if you are on food stamps, welfare, etc., you are also enrolled in a program to get a GED or high school diploma if you don’t have one and making satisfactory progress towards completion. Or, you are in a welfare to work program with the intent of getting a job that ends your dependence.
I do not believe in something for nothing welfare except in the case of the truly handicappped or disabled.
I’m not a Republican so I won’t defend their actions on a political basis any more than I will do so for Democrats of which I am not one either.

Keep the hammer away from the elephant, because he, as well as the obvious on these pages, his supporters, just keep hitting themselves in the head with it.

I have posted my solution many times.
Line up all of the cruise ships that you can get.
Start loading all of those idiots who want to secede, then continue loading all 47 million who voted for Romney.
Send them on a one way cruise to Somalia.
    There they will find paradise.
No government, no taxes, no health care, no social security, and to make money you just hold hostages for ransom.
    A redumblican dream.

Yes, I know your idea of a two party systems is Fidel and Raul Castro. There are no opposition parties in Cuba, perhaps you would prefer their government to ours?
