What’s a Democrat politicians favorite saying?
    Merry Christmas to me!
So a “public servant” that only works about half the year thinks a pay raise to a 100k(plus tons of free benifits) is a good idea?

There are enough Republicans in the state government of California to easily stop just about any legislation, including pay hikes for themselves as well as their Democrat colleagues. So, they are just as guilty as the Democrats. Just how would you or anybody else stop politicians that actually control their own wages from raising them anytime they wish? Heck, CEO’s of corporations and their board buddies, do the same, and neither you nor I ever even get the chance to vote on them at all! The US Congress does it all the time, why then shouldn’t the Congresses of the states and other smaller municipalities also do the same? Note, that I do not say this is the correct way of doing things, but knowing human nature, it certainly is understandable!

Handing out the money are they, those pesky politicians? Why should we worry? Repubs were the party of sound money until Ronald Reagan. He departed from traditional Republican tax and fiscal policy when he went to “supply side” tax cuts. He then red marked the public with eight consecutive budget deficits which raised the Gross Federal Deficit from 32.5% of GDP to 53.4%. Some pesky politician, all right, claiming to be a conservative. Bush the Greater gifted us four deficits increasing the debt to 66.1%. Clinton raised taxes, had 4% unemployment, balanced budgets, and, reduced the Debt to 56.4%. Bush the Lesser gave us TWO rounds of “supply side” tax cuts, in 2001 and 2003, spent like a drunken sailor, gave us eight more years of deficits, increased the Debt to 85.1% of GDP, and left the us in the worst economy mess since the l930’s. So, Lisa, who’s pesky? In fact, who’s conservative, who’s liberal and who’s selling property they don’t own?

So can I assume that you want to “change the way business is done in (politics)”?

One guy promised to do just that in 2008. Has it happened yet?

All those pesky “facts” you spout off. Every one to take the heat of Ca politicians. Blaming Reagan? Blaming Bush?

Maybe you can list some of the wonderful facts showing how Obama has had a budget (hahahahahah) surplus each year. How he never ran a deficit. How he has added millions to welfare and how his policies have resulted in over 90 MILLION workers being our of work… forever.

Oh yeah, that’s right. Obama deigned to “come among us”. Obama passed the “affordable” health care act that is anything BUT affordable for millions who no longer have insurance as of Jan 1. Obama who has focused with laser like intensity on JOBS (a three letter word according to his second in command) …..

It is indeed time for change

Lisa, perhaps you will compare Texas, the bastion of conservative ideals and economic success with California for us? No?

So you start your argument with a lie. Democrats hold a super-majority in both houses and we have a Democratic governor.

Our Congress of the USA have worked so few days and in those days barely passed any legislation yet they voted themselves many pay hikes. Both parties did it for themselves.

Looks like our own Gov. McCrory handing out pay raises to his cabinet/buddies while cutting, cutting, cutting in the name of fiscal responsibility. I guess there are limits to who has to make sacrifices.

“Time for a change?” Jerry Brown was governor before, and these idiots have elected him again! They should have known to expect this. They deserve him!
