“I’ll be the first to tell you, the website launch was rockier than we would have liked,” said Sebelius, a Cincinnati native.—————————————————————-
    No ship Sherlock!
You “only” had 3 years to get ready for the launch.
Imagine if a company took 3 years to launch its website?
AND it didn’t even work? Heads would roll.
BUT this is the big-government ideal pushed onto us by O and the Democrats, so nothing will happen and billions more will be wasted.

Nuttin about the Government Shut Down? Nuttin about the international fiscal crisis barely avoided? Nuttin about who started, implemented and FOLDED the Government Shut Down? You could have drawn this RepubliCon daydream last month, Lisa, last YEAR. What about all those current events deadlines you Toonists are supposedly to dealing with? Not relevant in Orange County, CA?

The gov’t can’t even fix the computer glitches keeping hundreds of thousands of veterans and their families from getting their benefits. I’m really with Jon Stewart on this one. How can an Administration that is one of the most tech savvy to date fail to make sure the quality controls for the VA and his signature program not be just as good as his election campaigns? Some glitches are to be expected and quickly resolved, but the problems veterans are encountering with their VA benefits AND now the ACA registration is unprofessional and negligent. It’s not a Hindenburg, but it looks like an Exxon Valdez. Unnecessary and very very messy.

Except the administration is “tech savvy” the way a sixteen year old girl is: They can text, twitter, and what-not but they haven’t got a clue how any of the stuff that actually makes those programs work functions.
Obama and his minions know ZERO about the actual technology they use. That is why their roll out of Obamacare was an utter and complete disaster.

Speaking of “minions”, the Tea Party just cost the U.S. at least 24 billion out of the economy according to Standard and Poors. All the while looking like despicable narcissists (Ted Cruz) or complete bunglers (Boehner) by putting 800,000 workers on furlough, and claiming they were helping America! Treating America’s economy like a pinata is not why we elect these folks, and it doesn’t instill confidence that they are representing us. It looks as if they are solely in it for themselves and the Koch brothers.

I worked out of a computer shop as a consultant for a while. It was amazing how many parents and grandparents would come in saying how adept their kids and grandkids were with computers. The only thing those kids could do was stumble their way into areas they knew nothing about and screw up the computer’s functionality. When the old folks asked “What happened?”, they would tell them “I don’t know. It just messed up.” Finding system errors or dysfunctional settings with no information would cost parents and grandparents a pant load of money to find and restore.

In one aspect the picture is dead on: Obamacare was created by a bunch of over-inflated flaming gas bags….

Patience. A few rockets blew up on the launch pad before getting to the moon also.

You have great commentary, cubefarmer. Still, it’s a good ’toon.

There’s a reason we travel in airplanes today and not Zepplins or dirigibles. The later just don’t work much like Obamacare.

Horrors, thousands of people who previously could not get insurance because of pre-existing conditions or affordability will now be treated and live.

How no one has signed up?

Something like 5000 people out of 36 states. Come on.

Given that the HHS and Obama administration wanted by their published calculations about 39,000 people a day to sign up forObamacare by the end of March and that rougly 36,000 total have to date says on its own that Obamacare will be a catastrophic failure.
The insurance companies say that they need 3 to 4 young healthy people to sign up for every old or sick / pre-existing condition person who does to offset the high cost of the later. They are now saying that isn’t happening. It is more like the sick and old are signing up pretty much exclusively.
I’d say that the young and healthy are making the rational economic choice of just chancing (since the IRS currently has NO mechanism to collect the penality tax from those with no insurance) they won’t have to pay at all and even if they do it will be far less than purchasing a policy would cost them.
Obamacare tries to warp and deny economic reality and now that it is forced to live with that reality it is proving a disaster.
