I love it. Eight years of lies, ok we can ignore that. Its ok for Republicans to lie. And what is the issue here? Did Obama call it a terrorist act at the beginning or didn’t he? So cool

Baghdad is a heck of a lot bigger web, and a lot more people died there.

Once again, the O Robots just bring up stuff from 10 years ago to justify the deliberate coverup of Americans being killed. Really old and childish.

Ya ya we know, it’s all Bush’s fault that Barry is one of the worst presidents of all time.

It is now 26 months since Bowles and Simpson predicted a US fiscal crisis within two years. The RePugs need a crisis though, to disguise their lack of interest in actual, responsible governance. Welcome to Benghazi then, one and all!

What difference does it make? Besides, it was a long time ago. Much longer than everything else, which is Bush’s fault.

Benghazi vs. jobs. Benghazi vs. healthcare. Benghazi vs. Veteran benefits. Benghazi vs. immigration. Benghazi vs. education. Benghazi vs. voting rights. Benghazi vs. Infrastructure repairs.
    Benghazi wins.
    Americans lose.
    And the investigation continues.

The left drummed Nixon out of office for covering up(lying) about a political criminal act (watergate). Though not criminal per se, Benghazi is certainly political
as it occurred during the election cycle. This administration simply applied campaign tactics during the event which contributed to the outcome, 4 people dead. They then applied campaign tactics to minimize any negative impact on the election.
    They lied after people died.
The left will protect Hillary and the madness continues. How can we hope for honest public servants when we don’t hold them accountable. The fact is… They all lie and it’s our fault for letting them get away with it. Shame on us.

Republicans have been itching to get back ever since Watergate. (And Iran-Contra, but Poindexter took the fall for that one.) So if Obama neglects to say the word “terrorist”, they think that’s an impeachable offense.

What’s impeachable here is not that he didn’t say “terrorist” attack, it’s that he had the truth but he concealed it, and directly lied to the American people. His mouthpieces were spinning this situation so he could get re-elected. Imagine if this information had come out before the election. We’d have Romney as president right now if it did.

The reason we are screaming about it is not just about what happened, it’s about the coverup. Nixon was impeached for lying about vote tampering at the Watergate hotel. Obama should be impeached for lying about why 4 Americans were condemned to die despite repeated calls for support over a 7-hour period. You can’t tell me we can’t get a super-sonic jet prepped, launched, and there in 7 hours.

Some basic math for you. At 761.2 mph (speed of sound), a 7 hour radius is 5,328 miles (give or take). Just to give you some conceptualization, that’s how far it is to our eastern seaboard. You’re telling me we had NO-ONE in the entire Atlantic Ocean, the Mediterranean, or Germany, just to name a few? That’s a load of bunk.

We had assets in the area, but were told to stand down. That’s the only logical answer as to why we didn’t send anyone for 7 hours. Because if we can send an aircraft from Washington, DC to Benghazi in 7 hours, I’m pretty certain we could have had someone there regionally, sooner.

I defended Hillary repeatedly in these forums after Benghazi. From the testimony yesterday, I’m beginning to believe that my support for her was misplaced.

There was also a group of Special Forces and a C130 in Tripoli that was told to stand down. Depending on the C130 model, flight time would be around an hour (plus or minus, not including prep, taxi, etc.). There is also a Marine Expeditionary Unit (battalion landing team) in the Mediterranean with airlift capability that could possibly have been called on.

Perhaps, Democrats should have been outraged when those incidents you listed occurred. Maybe, Congress shouldn’t have cut the building and security funding for the State Department. Conceivably, the State Department could have reallocated resources from other areas within the State Department for security. It isn’t like State didn’t know that foreign interests in Benghazi were targets.

Probably few people tried to watch Wednesday’s Hearing, C-SPAN 3 may have carried it, but my satellite service doesn’t have #3. Only Fox TV News and Beck TV tried to carry parts of the hearing. Today I printed a stack of news reports written by people who saw and heard every word.
IMO much evidence given by the 3 experienced career men, who were in the 9/11/12 action, surely points to Secretary of State and DOD Sec’y Panetta (not one peep did I hear about the AWOL President Obama).
I hope Chairman Issa continues the Hearing with more knowledgable people, some of whom refused to testify on Day One.
Ambassador Stevens tried to call Tripoli chief Hicks, Hicks called back at the very beginning of the terror attack. Hicks called the Libyans for help, then called D.C. State Department to report A TERRORIST ATTACK, not saying anything about “a protest” that never happened.
At 2a.m. Libyan time Sec.State Clinton called Hicks and he assumed she had been informed of the terrorist attack. She asked nothing about it, just “what are you going to do?”
Hicks told her “evacuate” and “she said that is the right thing to do.”
Immediately, the State Dept. started the False report that the attack was due to a Protest in Benghazi over an offensive film. (Hicks testified that the film “was a non-event in Libya”…)
I pray that God does not allow that woman to win any further public office in her lifetime. Hillary Clinton, IMO is a dangerous person. The White House/Pentagon/State Dep’t decision to prevent any rescue attempt is the most SHAMEFUL government action in my 80 years of life.
I want Justice, full disclosure and punishment of those who set up Americans and left them to die for “PC” policies.
