This whole “tax the rich” and “fiscal cliff” thing is getting to look more like it’s powered by Ex Lax, every day, every ’toon.

Rich guy would rather throw it away than pay his fair share?

I think a lot of these cartoonists (both parties) are really reaching to try to put out cartoons that have any relevance to what’s really going on politically. I remember when political cartoons could be sarcastic, caustic, accusing and really nail politicians (or whoever) to the proverbial wall. Maybe I’m just getting old and am missing the point. All these seem to do is generally piss people off and start an avalanche of negative confrontational postings by the comment section…

Keep taxing the rich people, then wonder why all the american companies are leaving our country for greener pastures. My sister’s company just closed their doors, and my uncles company(and he does government work) is not doing very well either. No companies, no jobs, it’s just that simple.

Sad, the ravages of time.
Once, most people got a newspaper that ran one cartoon a day. The local cartoonist had to come up with several every week, plus they pulled some from the syndicates, but never more than two a day, and always different themes every day.
Now everyone can see cartoons from almost every newspaper, and we can see that there are only a few themes a week, and a lot of minor variations on those themes.
The callow have never known anything else. The old geezers remember when the cartoons they could see were all unique, and so, in addition to ‘Get off my lawn’ and leaving their blinkers on, they all complain about how the modern world is so much worse than the halcyon days of their distant youth.

In 1967-1968 I had a 1960 Chrysler Windsor with fins like that. It was yellow, not blue. I was stationed at Kincheloe AFB just south of Sault Ste Marie, Michigan.

O’s ‘I Have A Dream’ speech is all about stealing from the rich. What a difference a half-century makes.

It’s funny when the class-warfare folks complain about the rich “not paying their fair share”. Didn’t Romney pay about 1.3 million in taxes last year? How much did you pay…?

That’s so sad. Did this happen during the ten years when the wealthiest were given tax breaks to create jobs in America. Wow. You must feel like a chump.

Actually, they’re leaving to reduce labor costs. Those greener pastures have people that will work longer hours for less money and put up with abusive bosses.
-Since the tax rates on the rich are lowest in the past 50-60 years, it is really reducing taxes has caused them to leave.

I paid very near 23% last year, robme paid barely over 14% and that was only because he under claimed his deductions to keep from proving himself the liar he is. The $$$$ aren’t as important as the percentage. I didn’t make 1.3 million last year so I couldn’t possibly pay that much in taxes. But you wouldn’t be happy if I paid 100% of my income in taxes and robme still paid only $1 more than I did. You’d claim I didn’t pay my fair share because robme paid more than I did. The fact that would have $0.00 to live on and robme would still have $13 million would escape your feeble intellect.
Yeah it’s really not funny when you class-warfare people start crying that the rich are over taxed. 40% of the wealth in this country is held by the top 1%, the top 1% pay a lower % of their income in tax than the middle class so who is really paying more than their fair share? Stop right there, I’ll answer that for you, it is the middle and working class TAXPAYERS, NOT the rich and powerful. They mooch off of us working people whose majority income is subject to income tax, not capital gains tax.

Now see what you’re doing, you’re pointing out their contradictions. You are confusing the weak-minded republicans with reality and pointing out the obvious to the oblivious.
