0bama, as a part of his Fundamental Transformation of the USA, has rewritten the presidential oath: “. . . . and will to the best of my ability, preserve, protect and defend the selective parts of the Constitution of the United States, according to my interpretation”.

Umm, this is about the Supreme Court defending selective parts of the constitution, not Obama. Look at the cartoon again.

Justice Scalia noted in his dissent that it is ridiculous that the executive branch of the federal government under the leadership of Mr. Obama refuses to enforce standing statutes of federal law. States like Arizona wouldn’t need to try to enforce laws on the federal government’s behalf if Mr. Obama would simply perform the duties he is Constitutionally required to do.

Illegals come here for jobs. Republicans hire them and then complain that they are here.

seriously? people are for this SB1070 nonsense? detaining people without charges based on the “suspicion” that they might be illegal? the US farming industry is actually suffering because of decreased numbers of illegals coming in, and still people are eager to give up their constitutional rights to “crack down” harder.

The problem is that denialists like Romney and Hanmari say that Obama has done nothing on immigration enforcement, despite all the facts available to them. Conservatives have said “seal the border, and THEN we’ll talk about immigration reform,” and now are pretending that the border still needs to be sealed when net illegal immigration is zero. Immigration reform can’t happen under the GOP, because they aren’t prepared to recognize truth when it happens.

Funny how he didn’t have an issue with all of Bush’s signing statements basically saying he wasn’t going to enforce those laws.

You people never stop being funny. Did you know that Obama has beefed up border security AND increased deportations over bush? I mean, I know facts tend to get in the way of your arguments, but three years in, its starting to get sad.

Not correct. Three out of four provisions beaten down and the forth waiting to be implemented so that it can be beaten down, either ins the state SC or at the federal level. I call that a BIG win for the Dems.

Not all truth to what you say, they were not necesarily unconstitutional, but yes the courts shut down the parts that the Federal Government are to uphold. Obama’s administration are being told indirectly not to uphold the laws. So, yes Obama is the one who could inforce the laws that were shut down if he wanted to do his job, but he wants votes instead.

Why don’t you try getting a job in another Country and see if they have a process that you must follow to get in. Maybe that is all we are asking for. Our country is still one of the easiest to get in even if you follow our rules.

Aaannnd,, Illegal immigration from the far East has bypassed that from our neighbors to the South. Maybe we should build higher sea walls and not let those ships with Orientals and their products in?

If only our federal government would make good on its Constitutionally-mandated responsibilities: Provide for the protection against foreign nations. A well-policed and secured border ensures that protection, and a poorly-policed and porous border compromises that protection. But, it’s okay! They were here already, so who cares, right?
