Justice Scalia noted in his dissent that it is ridiculous that the executive branch of the federal government under the leadership of Mr. Obama refuses to enforce standing statutes of federal law. States like Arizona wouldn’t need to try to enforce laws on the federal government’s behalf if Mr. Obama would simply perform the duties he is Constitutionally required to do.
