Merdoc invested all his billions in this NEW OPPORTUNITY to own all of American Air Waves, ( or at least the most ) to make his MONOPOLY. You wont find any subversives on his stations. Randy Roads, has proved that head to head with Rush, she had more listeners.
As far as the FINANCIAL problems and mismanagement of Air America, stuff happens. Their problems had nothing to do with the Host’s or listener’s, and are STILL on the air. Merdoc lost millions for years, before he started making any money. If you like automated hosts and scientifically formated music, and no local news, you can thank Merdoc.

The people you mentioned are not on public air waves, you can not pick them up by simply turning on your radio or TV, you must pay someone. I live in a town that gets 3 radio stations and 3 TV stations

Howie, I already posted this elsewhere. I found two separate media accounts of the Bush 41 nationwide address to school children. Gephardt criticized the hiring of a PR firm to put it together and said it was tantamount to a paid campaign commercial.

No one suggested he did not have the right to talk to school children, no one suggested he was trying to usurp parents or educators, no one suggested he was trying to cram some nefarious ideology down kids’ throats, no one cried over what their poor kids would have to endure, and no one threatened to keep their kids at home to avoid the evil president.

If you want to offer snide comparison, do a little research and get those d@rn pesky facts straight!

If we can get smart kids interested in politics; the rest will take care of itself (when they sort out their own philosophies through their experiences). Politically, though, raising the spectre of a proselytizing Obama might be a win-win for the right. I would hope both sides could get to the point of forgoing the scorched earth policy they have pursued lately. But, they won’t.

Does a Lib station stand a chance to start a new station, and get in ? Can they under cut the other two companies and still stay in business ? Will advertisers take a chance on an untried station ?
As long as the owners will not diversify their programing then they should be Fined for unfair use of the air waves, change or pay, its up to them.
Republicans lost the elections, Then why do they have 90% of the air waves ? Have your share, we dont want to take that away, it’s yours, have it, we dont want it ! Oh, and BTW Take ours too ? Your entitled to 28%, but that’s it.

What is public about the equipment to run the stations? what is public about the money spent for the entertainment? What is public? Oh the regulation to make sure that one station does not bleed into another’s station. That is all and that is all the government should do! As for the content? If they don’t listen it does not pay. If someone wants to give an opinion on the radio that is not out right stupid and does not break the “rules” well go for it. there are many ways to do it. If someone wants to go into radio and spew the most left wing pro Obama stupidity well you can do that to. You will just have to suffer the consequence of “peer” review and ridicule.
BUT if you want someone to pay YOU for it well you have to make it informative and entertaining. Air hosed can not do it shoot my tax money that runs NPR can not do it. but both are there. You are just upset that the left built it and no one came to the party.
