Wow, more and more bailout blues. Look at the flood of BS pouring in. Now states want a piece of the pie.

MTT as a person who watched the TV in horror as a freeway bridge 1.5 miles away fall into the Mississippi I’m sick of the Grover Norquists of the country drowning gov’t in the tub. Put it on a diet? Sure. Kill it? Don’t be an idiot.
Our “governor” is a no new taxes pledger, so we close our schools, mourn our dead, deal with a freeway being closed for a year, shed our jobs to any other of a number of states/countries, build stadiums for billionaires – all without pulling in revenue to cover it. Now with the cr@p economy, revenue is sinking even lower. Meanwhile to pay for streets & schools my property taxes are skyrocketing.
States and cities are starving just to function. Republican tax cuts just shut off the tap with no notice and no recourse.

Well you said it, building stadiums for billions. This is the spending problem. Bring in jobs and stop building unnecessary cr@p. I have no problem with tax, I just have issues with 50% of my money gone in tax. I am very much against China getting all our jobs, but this has some to do with tax. MDI here is struggling to keep in business in MI here, and what we have to look forward to is HIGHER taxes! This is going to work really good. We have less the 10% of our parts shipped in from China or Mexico, all else comes from USA.

The ‘billions’ put into stadiums is also put into the local economy by the jobs that they create, so that is a good thing. The Tax Structure, both Federal and State, need some serious reconstruction to level the playing field.

I can agree with this. But why a stadium? Why not build roads? Fix bridges? You know, something useful?

mtt we need to socialize stadiums where millionaires play for billionaires, that’s the American way!
