Amazing, the tendency of Americans to vote against their own self-interest. Can McCain win? Lisa hopes so, and she might be right.

Actually he has a tax lien - that doesn’t mean he owes that much in taxes, but that he owes someone that much and a judge attached a lien to any property he owns.

It doesn’t really matter - The issue of importance here is the dancing that Obama did while trying to say that “wealth sharing” is a good thing for American and the world.

Joe doesn’t owe a nickle to anybody. Your earned wages are not taxable income. Never were. It’s been written the same since 1913.

Every time we hit Miami on tour a few of us include the South Beach clubs and my bar tab never comes to more than fifty bucks.
Where do you go and when’s your next party?

Considering the unparalleled consolidation of wealth in the top 1% over the last 8 years, while the median wage has stagnated or sunk…. I’m pretty sure I know what he means by share the wealth.

No response to the top 400 people increasing their wealth by $675B in 8 years? Hmm… anyone? They don’t owe us anything? Hmmm? They must’ve made that money in a vacuum that doesn’t involve society AT ALL? Hmmm? Anyone? Anyone?

Share the wealth you greedy barons of industry and finance!

Acelist, Of course you can have a good time with much less, but the ‘hot’ clubs are very expensive now….some even require you buy a bottle of liquor before admission….

No. They don’t owe us anything - at least not in the sense that seems to be implied. We willingly bought goods and services, often more than we should have, and they capitalized. They invested, they earned, or they had money given to them. However they got it, it’s theirs, not mine. I made under $10,000 in 2006, a little more last year, and the billionaires don’t owe me a cent.

I would hope they’d show gratitude for all they have and donate large sums in order to house the homeless, feed the hungry, and care for the needy, but I’m not about to tell them they have to.

So Dan… there is NO aspect of being in a society that helped them acquire such wealth? How rich would they be living in a vacuum? They are part of society and have a responsibility based on their means to help maintain that society.

10% of American richest taxpayers pay 80% of the country’s Taxes, and they are the biggest contributors to charities and Humanitarian Organizations of the world….

And with their investments and entrepreneurship they employ tenth of Millions (?)that in turn contribute to Society at large.
