Why am I left with the impression that for the most part conservative commentary is as if they are looking in a mirror and forget the reverse effect?

The American Dream is alive and well for whom? Those working 3 jobs? Those losing their jobs? Those being foreclosed upon? Those being squeezed by debt? Or maybe it’s alive for those w/ 7 houses making $5M/yr?

So the rich don’t benefit from society? If they lived on an island w/o any of society’s amenities they still could’ve gotten rich? Once upon a time the capitalists benefited from having a strong educated workforce, now the dumber the cheaper the better.

I think this feature completely misses the mark. I haven’t really taken away from the DNC this time around that the American dream is dead. In fact, seems to me they believe it is as alive as ever, albeit, perhaps more difficult to attain. No?
