    That’s not the comic book section. That’s the cook book section.

    Still using the card and stamp system. This library is old school.

    Oh my! Lio found it in the Cook Books section and is cheerfully presenting it to the big Alien! Does he know what he has done?!

    One of my favorite Twilight Zone episodes. That show really made an impression on my 10-14 year old mind. Thank you Rod.

    @pouncingtiger

    C.S. Lewis used that too in one of his Narnia books, and i wouldn’t doubt that you could find it earlier than that

    It’s available on Amazon. Here’s what it looks like:

    Sorry, WSR, the recipies don’t start until page 15. Page 6 is part of the introduction. My favorite recipies are Texas Chili With Cowboy (page 47), Menchfleisch Kreplach, Kosher Style (page 40) and Blood Sausage (page 59).

    The Library of Congress assigned it the call number TX632.W83, which means it’s shelved with the cookbooks. The cataloguer either didn’t have a clue or did have an excellent sense of humor.

    The Damon Knight story was published in November of 1950 (the same month as the first Narnia book). The Twilight Zone episode aired on 2 March 1962.
