Good thing the boa was a pal of Lio’s. So nice of him to help with a research project.

What are pals for, if not to join a research project?

Luckly for Lio no bones were crushed since he & the boa are buddies.

There’s nothing like a little hands on experience. Lio gets an A for sure.

Lio looks just a tad bit concerned in the first panel.

And if the teacher doubts the veracity of his work, he can bring snakie to school and pressure her into changing her mind.

Doctor Toon. Lio had an eye popping experience.
I had way too many snake buddies when fishing in TX as a kid. Mud, cattails, nighttime, fish = snakes. Had four or five large snakes around my ankles after an hour. Delicately Lio like tip toed away without pissing any of them off by stepping on them. Live and let live, I say.

Not that I make it a habit to quote Garth Brooks, but it seems like Lio’s always got Friends In Low Places.
And this one is trying to put the squeeze on him…..:-).

This makes me think of Mowgli, from the Jungle Book. The real Kipling story, not that awful Disney garbage. In the book Kah the snake was Mowgli’s friend and protector. Disney decided that they needed a goofy villain and screwed Kah over. It’s good to see a wholesome relationship between a boy and his boa. Thanks Lio!

dstufff—– I was talking about Lio’s experience; not the snake’s. Figurative thinking I’d say.
