Given his fondness for skulls, I should think he’d want something of the Phantom’s.

Well, I don’t suppose Charlie will need to wear it again.

That store used to sell a lot more of those.
It’s been nearly a decade since their last steady customer.

Nice shirt, it probably just cost a few peanuts.

baslim - wearing horizontal zigzags with vertical striped pants is scary enough…

  19. Constantinepaleologos

    Constantinepaleologos said, 2 months ago

They should carry Pearls Before Swine, too.

  20. BlitzMcD

Well, better a Peanuts reference then day after day after day after day of monsters. Variety is the spice of life!

Now I’d really like to see him take on the “Archie marries Veronica” debacle….

My son shops in the same store! He prefers the “Jeremy” look from “Zits”. My own preference is “Hagar” - not the pants but the Viking.

Well at least Lio didn’t got the clothing style from “B.C.” & the “Yellow Kid” l

(The Yellow Kid was a popular comic strip character & was a part of the comic strip Hogan’s Alley that started in 1894.)

And a good thing, too; I’d hate to think that kids are being encouraged to beg for money from strangers in their underwear.

You can get more comics at comics.com and the Houston Chronicle (chron.com)

  29. Ushindi

    UshindiGenius_badge said, 2 months ago

ninmas & others: You can get “Peanuts”, “Pearls Before Swine”, and “Get Fuzzy” free at Comics.com - it’s an aggravatingly slow system at times but has a lot that isn’t carried here.

  30. tgrfemme

    tgrfemmeGenius_badge said, 2 months ago

Peanuts and Pearls Before Swine are both carried by Comics.com…I’m not sure what decides which site carries which cartoons. Especially since some cartoons, like “On a Claire Day” are carried by both.

And Schulz…I, along with so many others, miss him so much. :(

But did Charlie ever get to kick that football? As I remember, “Rerun” was vague on this information! ;)

  32. Furienna

    Furienna said, 2 months ago

I would love it too, if this site carried “Peanuts”.

  33. kfaatz925

    kfaatz925 said, 2 months ago

tgrfemme, I don’t think he ever did - I was hoping he would in the last strip, but he didn’t there. (Lots of Schulz fan tributes had him kicking it, though. :) )

Love the comments on this one, especially Tom Saaristo’s, wndrwthg’s, and The_JAM’s.

    Just wait ‘til next year!

The amazing thing about Peanuts is that even though the strip dealt with depression, anxiety, frustration, alienation and other problematic stuff, it never really seemed depressing or melancholy. On the contrary It was actually quite funny because of that stuff.

Anyone remember the TV special “It’s Magic, Charlie Brown”? That was the one where Snoopy accidentally turned CB invisible (Yes, you read that right). CB took advantage of this and kicked the football right out of Lucy’s hands while in his transparent state (I’m not making this up). It was an historic moment!
And you can wear the shirt, Lio. But you had best not try flying a kite and approaching the Little Red-Haired Girl and managing a baseball team and…

A lot of “Peanuts” fans here, so just wanted to let you know that in Friday’s “The Boondocks”, Huey is putting Lucy Van Pelt in his “Hate Book” for always pulling the football away. Yes, Lucy, we were always watching, even Huey.
