That’s a horse of a different color.

Now, Lio! You put that horse right back in Guernica; do you hear me, young man?!

Wasn’t that one returned to Spain? Is that where Lio lives? Come to think of it I’ve never heard him speak English…

It does look like the horse from Guernica. But I’m surprised Lip didn’t bring out loose body parts with his macabre taste.

Lio knew the horse needed the exercise. It’s rough being stuck in a painting for 60 years.

“Lio” does mean something to the effect of “bad situation” or “trouble” in Spanish.

Lio is surreal with or without fine art.

Bingo, Bender, Lio resembles that remark:
Main Entry:lío
Function:masculine noun
Language:Spanish
familiar
1 : confusion, mess
2 : hassle, trouble, jam

Just imagine if he’d brought out the naked women from Les Demoiselles d’Avignon: “They followed me home, Dad! Can I keep them?”
PS: The first one here who can tell us Picasso’s full name gets an imaginary doughnut.

Um, I dont’ think we’ve heard him speak at all…
BlueRaven said, 2 months ago
Never do, Mogdrat. Part of the pleasure of the strip, I think. So unusual to see a panto-comic these days.
And Cactusjack, that was easy for you to cut and paste. ;)

This strip reminds me of these sculptures in downtown Louisville. http://www.flickr.com/photos/65215866@N00/335478383/

I know this is off topic, but I kinda hope we get to see further results of Lio’s dollar breeding endeavour.

He must be doing pretty well to afford to go to Spain.

Picasso was one of my mom’s favorite artists (along with Norman Rockwell – talk about opposites). Have to say this horse is one of my favorites of his – and as always – an unexpected delight in a Lio adventure
