Bye, bye, Li

Hmmm– Wouldn’t it progress from left to right, as the ink fades (unless MT draws right to left!) Terror strikes either way!

The first time that I see Lio really scared!
Please Lio never dissapear, never died, we need you each day.
Looks that Mark is thinking lot about dead in this days. You are a Lio father, we never forget you dear friend. ;)

This reminds me of that looney toon cartoon where Daffy Duck was drawn on a piece of paper, and then the animator decided to fool around with him for awhile. The animator turned out to be Bugs Bunny. Do any of you remember that?

I love when people look at a comic strip known for it’s surreal and bizarre qualities and question the logic and physics. If you’re looking for a comic strip where natural laws apply, I recommend MARK TRAIL.

Mother of Mercy….is this the end of Lio?

Surreal is right! & I love it, always have & always will. Thanks, Mark, you got my kind of brain.

Interesting concept! Are any of us really here, or are we but the arbitrary brush strokes of a higher being? In your face, Nietzsche!

Reminds me of Alice Through the Looking Glass. They had to be careful not to wake the Red King, since their entire existence was his dream.

Nothing I can find on it’s cancellation. Probably Mr Tatulli didn’t consider the worry it might cause. It is a fair choice to use for the last strip, tho perhaps a wee cruel.

Last strip? Pish and Tosh! Besides, haven’t y’all realized by now that Lio and Mark are Toon Immortals, like Krazy Kat and Bob Kane?
Josh 1360 said, 4 months ago
Hope it’s not the last one. Remember the last panels of “Bloom County”, “Calvin and Hobbes”, and “The Big Picture”?

An apt commentary on the status of comic strips in news PAPERS. Gladly, they are alive and lively on the internet. Thank you Gocomics and Comics Kingdom. You keep the art form honed and ready to pierce the thickest hides.

As a big Looney Tunes fan (see username) I always liked the ones where the artist messed with the characters–especially Daffy–he’s down on my list of favorites anyway!
