They oughta bring in that guy’s understudy, he can’t stay in character.

Wait a second.
You mean that they’re scabbing humans in costumes instead of hiring genuine Toons?
The Union will hear about this. Call Eddy Valiant!

Where’s Pastis?
Nice kitty Nebulous.

Wow, I didn’t know Pig was capable of that stuff. I guess he has a pretty good actor playing him.

Ah ha! The tables are turned on Pastis! (Can Cathy be next?)
This reminds me of the Sergio Aragones gag, where the actor in the Goofy costume accidentally wanders onto the sound stage of an adult film!
(And for those who have not… go read “Who Censored Roger Rabbit”… the book which inspired the film, but MUCH different!)

We’re commenting this on Twitter! @mtatulli has but two tweets and three followers… I say we change that.

I’ve never seen Pig swear like that before, Rat always, but not Pig.

Great honorific to Pastis. Which ever one of you wins, it’ll still be great! Good Luck to you both!

As related in the first Pearls treasury “Sgt. Piggy’s Lonely Hearts Club Comic”, Pastis and Tatulli have been friends for years, since Tatulli only had “Heart of the City” syndicated. Anyone else remember “Tatulli the self-esteem building Bear”?

I love the cartoon cross-overs!

Who knew that was how comic strips were made?

Crossover cartoons are a hoot! I remember Rat eulogizing Dilbert. “thousands of new cartoon spots opening up-ka-ching,ka-ching.”

This is rare seeing Lio Embarassed

One of the commenters over at PBS on “Brand X” mentioned this; and though I rarely read Lio I find this delightful!

There is a second Roger Rabbit book- “Who P-P-P-Plugged Roger Rabbit,” by the same author, Gary Wolf. It has more in common with the movie than with the first book. One of the villains is thinly disguised version of Pegleg Pete.
