    @Grokenstein: Maybe it is his tongue, but it sure looks like an eye with the pupil pointing down. I zoomed it on a graphic program and it is hard to tell.

    I can see where the hunter’s right eye is squinted shut in panel 2, but my theory is that that circle in the middle of his cheek is actually a third eye, with which he’s checking on the status of his feet. Can’t blame him. ;)

    It’s a glass eye. Popped out in panel 2, he stuck it back in by the time Lio landed.
