Lio, Lio, Lio…. Don’t try to spoil their back alley feast, for shame.

And right behind them, the Walt Disney lawyers.

Yeah, seriously Mark T, watch out for that one. DizzKnee (I better not spell it correctly) are totally crazy about that. One of my college teachers got sued over putting an image of Mickey Mouse in his pre-made notes for his english class.

I third the motion. Ask Berke Breathed what happened when he tried to put a ‘Mortimer Character’ in the old Outland strip.

Mind…D’isigny is the same outfit that has noooo problem with ripping off anyone else’s work. At least they didn’t when Eisner was at the helm.

I am with pschearer and whoffkne, you have to be careful with those copyrighted images, especially with a cooperation like the D-word!

Lio wasn’t in the original production so there shouldn’t be a problem. Fingers and toes crossed.

Legally, he’d probably get off with fair use for satire purposes, but, it’d still be messy in the meantime.
Remember, this is the company that sued a daycare in Florida for using their cartoon characters on the walls without permission. (Warner brothers heard about this, and had the daycare repainted with Bugs Bunny et. al. for free.)

Don’t get me started on Dis’knee. The company I work for had to be audited by them to do some print finishing work on their products. The auditor quite openly solicited hand outs for a good audit. I smell a rat…

VancouverRaven:I’m not 100% sure on this, but I was under the impression that Michael Jordan now owns most of the rights to the Warner Brother cartoons (Bugs,Daffy,Elmer,Porky…).

All the Dizzy Nee’s aside, it is still a good comic my friend and I wish we did not live in a world where a certain company would get so butt hurt over stuff like this, but they do sometimes…
