doctortoon: there was a similar case brought by a woman who was suing Jerry Seinfeld for slander about what he said about her on a late-night show, it was thrown out.
This was funny though, I bet the great pumpkin gives Linus what for!!
It looks like Lio was not intending his pumpkin robot to become the great pumpkin.
I’m glad there’s no legal issues - I enjoy seeing occasional comicstrip cross overs. A while back, Lio found what appeared to be the remains of Calvin and hobbes at the bottom of a steep snowy hill.
The world of Lio is filled with the extraordinary - monsters under the bed, wild reptile pets, robot inventions, weird science - but it's all commonplace for this most uncommon first-grader. Mark Tatulli renders this pantomime strip in pen-and-ink style, giving the artwork a dark, spidery feel to match the strip's dark humor. Lio explores the twisted realm of a kid's imagination - at once bizarre, creepy and fun.

Don’t look now Linus, but here he comes!

Is it just me, or does Lio look more shocked than anything else in that last panel?

He does have that ‘deer in the headlights’ appearance.

What’s even scarier is the thought of Tatulli torn to shreds by Charles Schulz’s lawyers, second only to Mickey Mouse’s.

Mark is safe from the lawyers. The supreme court has upheld that parody and satire are protected as free speech. Copyright laws do not apply.

Looks like the Simpsons are doing a parody of the Charlie Brown Halloween special in this year’s Treehouse of Horrors. Can’t wait! :-D

Oh Lio, you’re too much. Hope the GP doesn’t kill Linus like on Robot Chicken.
