    Actually, a lot of video games use classical music because it’s all public domain and doesn’t need royalties (I used to be in the business).

    Lio’s teacher should be happy he is interested in music at all. One of mine loves the Star Wars music - so let him play!
    Could you imagine playing the music from “Super Mario Brothers” on a violin???? That would be real talent!

    Some people are too stuck up to see that music is music. If a child shows interest, like you said, Liowatcher, they should nurture that instead of stamping down on it.

    Considering that the violin teacher is grasping a copy of Mozart’s “Dirges and Requiem’s”, I would be highly surprised if ‘happiness’ is even in his vocabulary…let alone his life.
