Lil Abner did the right thing. Too many people want someone else to pay for their needs and wants.
Now can we begin the strip at the beginning and stop these foolish reruns of reruns?

This is the beginning, as of about one or two months ago. Merely click back on the calendar.

Ten bucks for a meal. NYC had highway robbery rules in the 30’s didn’t they. I’ve been looking at the 1940 census. People were very lucky if they got forty buck for an entire month’s hard labor.

Something is fishey. Just checked 1934 for the steak dinner with the works. .75 cents the average. Waldorf Astoria charging $2.00.

Yes far better that Li’l Abner works there for the rest of his life since he will never wash enough dishes to pay for the meals he eats.

Like taking money from the government. Once you start, you’ll never be free.

Which money do you mean? With the corporations these days they will fire you on a whim. Where company loyalty must only flow one way———to them.
