    Reminds me of a Monty Python sketch.

    Portland’s Multnomah Kennel Club had the “Wienie Dog Nationals” sometime around 94 or 95. (I couldn’t find it online). Some beer company sponsored it.
    .
    The dog owners would run alongside the dogs and the dogs had such fun that a number ran right back to the start line, hoping to do it again.
    .
    The advertisements were silly, with things like “…at speeds approaching the Hound Barrier.”

    @Nabuquduriuzhur

    That’s funny as crap! They don’t do it any more? That’d be worth a trip to the other coast.

    @Mark

    Cartoonists seem to pull from Monty Python fairly often.
