   editors can be horrible people. they would force their reporters to hack into voicemails (murdocks and news corp) and bribe cops, officials, etc… they would quash a story of a dead celeb because it might portray them in a bad light (jimmy savile). they would even run a story without fact checking, get caught, and blame the reporter.
