YES! lil’ Abner is one of the best comics from the past. Cho does a great job of capturing the drawing style of Al Capp too.

Yokum in Mukoy (McKoy) spelled backwards, but it is also yokel plus hokum. Abner is wearing a scarf to warm his ears and hold his hat in place. Amen to Bigg, Kerovan, Cleokaya, teeterman, cwreenactor, JoJo and Ushindi - I second your emotions!
