It was really a bit insulting; Mom and Dad got to sit at the table, big sister Fluffykins got to dine off of a TV tray, but Bob and Cyril had to eat their gecko off of the floor.

No, no . . . it’s okay! Let me explain: It’s funny, really. I was just saying — real flattering, like — “Wow, you’re a delicious little morsel, aren’t you?” and this little guy here says, “What a kind thing to say! May I give you my tail to nibble?” And Hank and I go, "Well, if you’re sure it wouldn’t be an inconvenience . . . " and Mr. Green Jeans here says, “Not at all, but I must set to work immediately.” And he was trying and trying, but the darn tail wouldn’t just pop off — frustrating right? — so he says, “Fellas, how about helping me out here? Will one of you hold me in your mouth while the other tugs quite firmly on my lower portion?” and I say, “I don’t know. That seems dangerous” and he says, “I assure you it’s fine!” And we had just worked this out, when you walked in! I guess I can see how you might misinterpret the situation.

Do Cats eat Reptiles? I have known several instances where cats have eaten both slow worms and snakes as readily as they did eels. We have in South Wales a saying to the effect that a “May kitten will turn out a snake cat.” It means that a kitten born in the month of May will, when grown into a cat, bring snakes into the house, and as the lower class of Welsh have an idea that every kind of creeping thing, from the poor little helpless newt down to the wicked- looking viper, is venomous, and call every sort of reptile a snake, kittens born in May are usually destroyed.
