Pairing vintage comic art with hilarious, new dialog by Disney veteran writer John Lustig, Last Kiss revels in the absurdities of love, lust and 'life with lip.' The series originated when Lustig bought the publishing rights to a romance comic book series from the 50's and 60's, and started rewriting the stories for fun. Since then, the re-dialogued comics have been a popular feature in newspapers, magazines, comic books and greeting cards. Today Last Kiss is gaining popularity and is also available on email cards from Jib Jab and greeting cards from NobleWorks. Check www.lastkissinc.com for the latest news and product launches.

Afternoon folks! This is your captain speaking. If you look out the right and left sides of the plane you can see fractures at the wing roots from all that stress I just put on them.

We need air bags for sickness. The air captain that landed on the hudson did better then this.

I understand the premise of this one, but how does
it fit the love & romance themes that Mr. Lustig so
cleverly portrays?
LAFan said, 3 months ago
Perhaps what we don’t see/know is that the attractive and sultry young co-pilot is sitting on his (the pilot’s lap) while all this astute maneuvering of the plane is happening…
BlueRaven said, 3 months ago
I suspect every once in a while, Mr. Lustig just likes to poke fun at how bleeep the artwork was in those old strips sometimes. Like today’s fine example of a firm grasp of aerodynamics.

So…..the pilot is “hopefully” drunk?

BlueRaven is largely correct, BIGCHRONO. While romance and relationships are my meat and potatoes, I do like to have fun with other things occasionally. And this art was just sitting around begging me to come up with a gag.

I like the optimistic view on that near death experience, john, you could have looked at it from a pessimist view and gave the drunk pilot credit for ‘almost killing us’ rather than ‘i saved us’

Thanks, Nicole. I prefer happy, optimist drunks to depressed, pessimistic drunks, myself. (Although I don’t want either type piloting planes.)

Ladies and gentlemen, thank you for flying Taliban Airlines. This is your captain, Abdul Osama, speaking…

Where does some of the ideas come for the strips?

kab2rb, they come out of my head. Other than that even I don’t know.

Is it painful?

Apparently 3hourtour doesn’t remember that both former Presidents Bush were pilots in the military. Or maybe he does, lol.
