The police operation to arrest ONE drug criminal (mr. Noriega former best friend of the US and owner of tortur facilities for all dictatorships of the Latin American continent) costs the life of over 500 Panamian civilians. If every police operation to arrest a single man would cause the same number of victims police operation would lost popularity, I guess.

The Russians are no longer “commies”. They hated it so much they ran as far to the right as they could. I know some of them.
That doesn’t mean Putin’s not an imperialist. Some right-wingers can get on board with that.
I know many of you say that Obama’s weakness encouraged the KGB apparatchik.
Personally, I think it was when bush sent troops in to liberate Georgia. In your dreams.

Seeing as how the Reagan Administration normalized diplimatic relations with Sadam and sold him weapons, you’re pretty much full of s**t on that one. Rumsfeld should have known what kind of weapons Saddam had. He’s the one who personally met with Saddam back in the early 80s to sell them to him.

GOP “cold warriors” and chickenhawks, do indeed love Putin, and any other Russian leader, along with their buddies in the military industrial complex. If Iraq, Iran, North Korea, or maybe another Grenada can’t keep the bucks rolling into their campaigns, a Russian fallback position is always good. They’re making too much money off their plants and production in China and Viet Nam to get too carried away with that “menace”…

I suppose it means nothing to you that first Clinton (with Jr. Senator Obama’s approval and support for what that is worth) and then President Obama “promised” that IF the Ukraine would just get rid of all their ability to protect themselves THEN the USA would be their protector should invasion occur.

Just another time the USA has backed out on a promise to an ally…..

Hey Lalo is just another racist…….

I lived in Panama City IN the Republic of Panama for 3 years. 1968 to 70.

    American’s were not popular.

Though I did manage to make a few friends. One of which was a TEACHER with a MASTERS that the government (according to her) forced to work as a domestic servant because of her political views. True? It seemed so to me at the time.

The slums – where I saw several clients at the time – were populated with many well educated but out of favor intellectuals due to their politics.

Manuel needed to be taken out……civilian deaths happened every day in that country.

“didn’t the Reagan admin normalize with Hussein because Carter pretty much gave Iran to the Ayotollah and Iranian guard which meant that we needed a hedge against Iran (at the time largest Army in the area).”

Iran? I have two words for you: Iran Contra

“Lalo is one of Nobama biggest ass lickers.”

Whereas your comments suggest you’re just an ass. Instead of the same ol’ generic anti-Obama comments we’ve seen here over and over again, tell us what actions you think Obama should take in this situation. It’s easy to make generic partisan insults. Prove you’d handle the situation any better than him.

Prove you’re not a troll by defending your asinine assertion.

    Well, here you go again.

OK Fine. Reagan was a tool as well. He did some stupid stuff in your opinion …. and I suppose it does look bad.

So once again I am going to ask the operative question. Just think about it.

Obama, in his run up to the office, was very vocal about all these terrible things that his predecessors did. His focus on Bush and his out of control spending, his unpatriotic deficit (459 billion at the time), his use of or tolerance for lobbyists and so on, prompted his signature campaign slogan of “hope and change”. Often he would say that when he was elected he would change the way business was done in DC. (gee if we only knew then…) AND his goal was to “fundamentally” change the entire USA.

NOW we have 5 years of his “change” under our belts. Many of you tell me that Obama is more republican than anything else. That he is doing exactly the same things that Bush did. So the question.

If you are so adamant that all republican forerunners are evil and that their actions stand as testimony that republicans are bad for the country, WHY do you still support Obama who LIED about changing this way of working in DC vowed to change it and did not but is doing the same thing????

Obama – by the way – was selling arms to the Syrian Rebels, got caught in a dispute with the anti american factions about who should get the guns and resulted in the death of our ambassador and his guards. Not true? How do you know? OH you have “faith” in the propaganda machine?

    yeah….as if they didn’t know already….

Dude, I spent a long time in the intelligence community. It was my first “career” start …. and finish as I found out that Military Intelligence was indeed an oxymoron…LOL

No, really, with the out right lies told to you concerning the ACA, do you think that every other word out of Obama’s mouth has been gospel?

Please, note that I offered the opportunity for someone – perhaps you – to “prove” me wrong with facts cited….. instead, I get the party line clothed in sarcasm.

People with nothing to hide, don’t. Isn’t that your mantra when you are … say …. trying to find out who donates to these super pacs – particularly the conservative ones?

    love ya bro!!!!!!!

That is really sad, my brother. " he was the least bad choice."

Though I do agree that it seemed so at the time. I was enamored with the change meme he spouted at every turn. Nope, not so much in practice. And yes, he was preferable to McCain, though I thought that Palin would make an ok VP, well, as much as Joe has anyway.

But, my problem is that everyone seems to think it s alright for the current man in the hot seat to do bad stuff because his predecessors did the same or worse.

Isn’t the “hope” that maybe this guy would really “change” the out of control spending (he lambasted Bush for his unpatriotic deficit and hasn’[t had ONE deficit under 3 times as much as the one he called unpatriotic – that’s a fact), that maybe this guy would ban the lobbyists that buy off congress critters so they vote the desires of the corporations rather than listen to the people that pay the bills (that’s you and I dude) since he condemned them in his campaign.

And stopping the wars is good. BUT I expected he would do it more rapidly. We have wasted a bunch of money and gotten nothing but hate for it. Let them do as they will in every sovereign nation up until they actually attack the USA. Then take care of business. Not a partial job.

SO, you say you do not like “many, if not most, of his policies and actions”, and yet you would support those policies and actions simply because he holds the office.

I can respect the office and not support the man in the chair. Just as I did with Bush and Clinton before him.

Isn’t it time to put someone in office that is NOT a politician but IS intent on service to their country (as opposed to being served as the Obama’s have proved over and over)?
