Perhaps because there are more illegal immigrants returning to Mexico than there are new ones leaving.

Umm, let’s not forget about that “your parents brought you here without your fault so you don’t need to be arrested right now” executive order. A bit of a difference. On the other hand Mitt has “roots” and spray tan…

The way to reduce illegal immigration is to prosecute those who hire illegals.
-
Of course, that would be Bad for Business and neither party has the guts to discuss it.
-
Nor do people on these boards.

Uh, does the Dream act ring a bell?

O has been ignoring the illegal immigration for 4 years, why would a debate loosen his tongue today?
braindead08 said, 7 months ago
The Obama administration has deported tons of illegals. He also implemented and executive order enacting part of the dream act.
-
As I remember it, you accused Obama of being a dictator — but now, you’re saying he’s ignoring illegal immigration. Duh.
-
But MY point, which YOU ignored, was that prosecuting those who hire illegals is the key to reducing illegal immigration.
-
Of course, my point is ignored by everyone who wants to build fences and crap.

You can prosecute those that hire illegals or do what Barry O successfully did: Make the economy so crappy that nobody is even hiring legal citizens.

Obama came to office in a crappy economy, unemployment is lessening (go look it up don’t quote your favorite Demagog),

My mother’s great grandmother was Choctaw. My father’s great grandmother was Cherokee. I’ve had the interesting pleasure to have conversations with both tribes as well as Shawnee, Comanche, and others. They would like us, white…black…Hispanic…asian…middle eastern…to self deport at our earliest convenience. Ironically, enough latinos are direct descendents of pre Columbus native americans as to reduce their need to self deport.
In the meantime…welcome to the Casinos.
Respectfully,
C.

Just to be pedantic about this, It’s the elephant in the room not the gorilla.
.
The joke goes, where does an 800 pound gorilla sleep? Any where he wants to.
.
That insurance company then ran the commercials with the 800 pound gorilla advising retirees and when they ignored his advice he would say “I’m just the 800 pound gorilla in the room.”
.
The animal that inspire the image of avoiding the obvious is the elephant in the room. As in you’re in the room and talking with your host, and nobody says anything about the fact that there is an elephant in the room.

It is refreshing to read someone’s comments that are polite, well thought out and wise. Thank you Sir! The humor is nice too.

Yes he said he would cut it in half during his first term and failed but experts on the economy say that give him two more years and it will happen (read factcheckers.org on the first debate for the sources) I find it funny that during the years Republicans are in office the unemployment figures never count those you want to count now. You have to count it same now as you did when we had Reagan’s recession or Bush’s disaster, yet in those years the missing from the rolls didn’t matter. You can’t have it both ways. Obama probably would have had the reduction he promised if the Republicans hadn’t fought so hard to obstruct every move he tried to make.

I sir am a moderate, I can look at things in an unbiased manner, unlike people who have sold themselves to a party

You are the one trying to have it one way for your side and a different way for the other side, if you don’t see that in your own words I pity you, there are none so blind as those that will not see.
