And what exactly does that mean to you Libs? Can you expand on it a little? Does that mean the sacred rite of Abortion is not in danger of being harmed? Does that mean human embryos will be harvested for scientific use at an industrial-like pace? Is that why you are so smug? How shallow and how sick.

Stem cell research, embryonic or otherwise (depending) can restore or save millions of lives. Differentiated cells “converted” have shown real problems with cancer and other factors because they are NOT natural. A blastophore is NOT a human, yet. (respecting, but not accepting as a biologist the alternative argument)
More direct, George W. Bush DESERTED, awol for over 30 days and refusing a direct order, from the National Guard. Palin “quit” what the people entrusted her with. She should be gone from the stage, period.
I’ve been in situations where any sane person wanted to run, the difference was whether you did. “W” and Palin did.

Actually embryonic cells have obtained ZERO positive results when they have been used, whilst adult stem cells are already being used in successful therapies. One of Obama’s first action was to pass an executive order de-funding adult stem cell research (successful) while at the same time giving the abort-i-fiends access to embryonic stem cells. Seems someone is being helped , while another group gets the shaft. Why, Obama? Is it that important to you to maintain the mistaken belief that killing a fetus in the womb is not killing a child? That all stages of growth by the human fetus/embryo is human life, and should be considered sacred? It’s so important to do that, you had to abolish treatments that were saving lives? Sick.

NoFearPup, seems Palin had little care for the fetus in her womb traveling so close to delivery date ( and on delivery date ) in pressurized jets ( and keeping her pregnancy a secret from Alaska Airlines ).
And a child with Downs should be close to it’s Mother the first three years of it’s life due to imprinting, so maybe it’s a good thing Mrs. Palin quit!

I may be a liberal and I don’t agree with Palin’s views, but she had on her back a responsability most of us will never have so I don’t think anyone of us have earned the right to call her a quitter.

She is aboout to be indicted for misdeeds as Governor. They have enough to impeach, she was allowed to resing in honor instead of being impeached in disgrace.

The only person who really knows why Sarah Palin quit is Sarah Palin. Everyone else is speculating.
About to be indicted you say? Who is prosecuting? Not the FBI…they made a statement saying that she is not under investigation.
Many of these charges against Sarah Palin were shown for what they were..absolute bunk. Sadly, it cost a lot of money to show these lies for what they were.
Ever since Palin ran for VP we have seen what I think is the best example of personal destruction politics….and it is a good example coming from a party that prefers and practices these kinds of tactics.

Lalas, I’m too lazy. Besides , I do not want to be considered an instrument of the right-wing media posting here. I heard it from Christian and Rightwing radio Shows. But, the best informant I have is a family member who works as a Lab biologist - and I was told by her that human embryonic stem cells have a tendency to mature into cancerous specimens and are unusable, so they stick with adult, etc. stem cells.

Howie, Gladius is right. We ripped him a new opening and forced him out. The entire state did. Apparently you weren’t paying attention to the Spitzer cartoons.
Besides that, he resigned under pressure for his reprehensible behavior that was not in keeping with his squeaky clean image. The head scratching over Palin is that she quit for no apparent reason (and people saying mean things does not count for an elected official – that goes with the territory).

I lived in the Adirondacks when he quit/resigned, but did not go to UCLICK until last few months. I know most the upstate papers did not have many cartoons.

Hey, as long as she keeps to her own and doesn’t go back into politics I’m ok with it. Maybe she did want to spend more time with her family and thought all the political hubbub was harming them.
Definitely not too likely, given what I’ve seen from her so far, but yeah… possible.
