    Doesn’t Lalo know that Cheney has been out of office for 6 years?
    Perhaps he can apply his razor sharp topical timing to slam Dan Quayle, or Ronald Reagan, or Dwight Eisenhower.
    Better yet, Abraham Lincoln.
    In Lalo’s case, old news is easy news.
    But take heart – there’s a rumor that Dick Cheney won’t be running the country any more.
    So perhaps Lalo’s campaign WORKED!
    We can rest easier.

    Cheney was in the news recently for being critical of the current administration’s Iraq policy in a disingenuous way. It was mostly a gift to editorial cartoonists like Lalo.

    Don’t forget the present administration, they will fit in good with Cheney.

    Strange that America celebrates July 4th, 1775 when it was just wishful thinking. The Treaty of Paris, signed on September 3, 1783, ended the American Revolutionary War between Great Britain on one side and the United States of America on the other. France, Spain and the Dutch Republic had separate agreements. The territorial provisions were “exceedingly generous” to the United States in terms of enlarged boundaries.

    @SKJAM!

    So if Cheney is considered being “wrong” for giving his opinion as a private citizen, how is that different from Lalo and his opinons?
    Again and again and again….

    @TheEtruscan

    Check again – it’s July 4, 1776 as any schoolchild will tell you.
    Anyway, we have a long history of celebrating the wrong dates – like Christmas.

    Not fair. Chaney has only been wrong one time. It started, to my knowledge, around 1995 and has continued uninterrupted to this date.

    The US Constitution has: “done in Convention by the Unanimous Consent of the States present the Seventeenth Day of September in the Year of our Lord one thousand seven hundred and Eighty seven and of the Independence of the United States of America the Twelfth In witness whereof We have hereunto subscribed our Names”. 1775 it is!

    Cheney was in Nixon’s White House. He has been an @#$%&* all of his life.

    The difference is, when Lalo’s wrong, nobody dies.

    And I, as with everybody here, have to seek Lalo out. Whenever Cheney pops up to lie to us, I have to change the channel to avoid his prevarications. And for this, someone truly deserving had his or her heart stolen for this old man, who would never even be on the list?

    Doesn’t matter Cheney was wrong then and he and his daughter are wrong now. Using the same reasoning no less to get back in to occupy Iraq into perpetuity. That is the point you obviously missed.
